About us
Candalan is a small show and breeding kennel located in the South of Canberra, specialising in black & tan and ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Our dogs are much loved family members, who live and play in and around our home. Our breeding program is carefully planned, and we invest a lot of time and energy into our dogs and puppies to ensure healthy, happy and well-adjusted dogs. At Candalan we aim for type, soundness, temperament and personality. We have a small show team and our dogs also enjoy obedience training, as well as a number of dog sports at trial levels, such as Rally-Obedience, Endurance and Agility. I completed an Agility Instructor’s course in 2020 and I am currently working as an assistant agility instructor at the ACT Companion Dog Club. Occasionally, we have puppies for sale from our health checked and DNA tested dogs to approved homes.

This beautiful young lady is looking for her forever home. Lina is five months old and is available on Main Pedigree to the right person and suitable home.
Lina staid at Candalan for longer because we were considering this gorgeous girl for our breeding program. However, with a heavy heart we have decided to let her go to a suitable home where she'll be spoiled and get all the love and attention she deserves. Lina is well socialised and a very happy girl. She loves spending time in the garden and playing with our adult dogs. Lina inherited her wonderful, soft temperament from her mum Mimi and her graceful movement from her dad Jester. She loves curling up on someone’s lap enjoying a good cuddle.
We routinely DNA test our breeding team for Curly Coat and Dry Eye (CCDE), Episodic Falling (EF), and Degenerative Myelopathy (DM).
Lina’s parents hold current veterinary Cardiologist and Ophthalmologist certificates.
